Backed by a team of experts in various laboratory disciplines, our clients have access to a large range of laboratory services, which support our patients and medical staff in achieving and maintaining excellence in their laboratory operations. The laboratory was redesigned and expanded in 2002, and houses state-of-the-art analyzers and information system. It is accredited through the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

We report out approximately 75,000 tests per year between our inpatient and outpatient client base.
Laboratory Services are available to both inpatient and outpatient clients. A physicians order is required, by law, for any testing to be performed. Orders can be faxed to 636-528-3411 .

Patient Instructions for Lab Work:
- Please check with your insurance company to make sure that
your outpatient lab services are covered if performed at LCMC
- Please bring your physician orders and insurance card
- Fasting is required for the following tests:
- Lipid Profile
- Glucose Tolerance
- Any other test if specified by your physician
- Fasting patients require a 12-hour fast, small amounts of water or black coffee only.
- Medications should be taken as instructed by your physician.
- Fertility testing is only performed on Tuesday or Thursday, and
MUST be scheduled in advance. You may call 636-528-3445 to
arrange for this testing.
NOTE: Paternity/DNA collections are
not performed here; however, we will be glad to assist you
in obtaining a number for a DNA testing laboratory.
- All results are mailed &/or faxed to your physician.
Please allow up to a week before you contact your physician's
office.
NOTE: All critical values are called to your physician
or his/her nurse immediately and they will contact the
patient as they determine is necessary.
