Who is a candidate for pulmonary rehabilitation?

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Lincoln County Medical Center is a comprehensive outpatient program designed to help those with a chronic respiratory disease live more active and rewarding lives by:
- Improving physical endurance and function
- Decreasing shortness of breath
- Reducing anxiety
- Gaining a better understanding of the disease process
and use of medication
- Increasing independence
The Program
When you participate in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Lincoln County Medical Center, you will receive personalized attention from a highly specialized team of health care professionals working together to provide a focused, individualized program just for you.
Key Components :
- Multi-disciplinary team assessment monitored exercise sessions two days a week.
- Educational sessions covering the disease process, nutrition, exercise, activities of daily living, medication and more
- Progress reports to referring physicians
- Development of a home exercise plan
- Development of a pulmonary rehabilitation maintenance program
