Auxiliary

“Helping Hands…Caring Hearts”

WHO WE ARE

The LCMC Auxiliary is an organization with a rich history of devoted support to Lincoln County Medical Center and its patients since 1953, when the hospital first opened. The Auxiliary is an active part of Volunteer Services. LCMC's Auxiliary welcomes adults of all ages. Volunteers are retired, employed, local residents, or individuals from surrounding communities. These uncommon people have one common purpose -- they are dedicated to helping others.

WHAT WE DO

We raise money through our gift shop, bake sales, and other activities. The funds raised are used to purchase items needed by the medical center. In 2003 we financed the renovation of the hospital's beautiful new classroom and purchased the lovely stained glass window in the new chapel.

ACTIVITIES

The Auxiliary has several activities including:

  • Semi-annual luncheon with guest speakers
  • Gift shop
  • Bake sales
  • Tray favors for patients during holidays
  • Sewing lap robes, tummy pillows, and walker bags
  • Phone calls
  • Addressing envelopes, etc.
