Founded in 1987, Friends of LCMC members provide philanthropic fundraising to fulfill the mission, vision and values of Lincoln County Medical Center (LCMC). Recent projects include renovating the LCMC cafeteria, the emergency room waiting areas and purchasing medical equipment. Their fund raising efforts include an annual Spring Brunch, Summer Golf Tournament and Fall Trivia Night to generate community support for the medical center.

Over the past 24 years there have been numerous fundraising events. Due to these events, Friends has been able to donate over $110,000 back to LCMC. Lincoln County is very fortunate to have such a capable hospital and Friends tries to add those comfort touches for the patients and their families. This has been achieved by purchasing new wheelchairs that are a little wider than the standard chairs, sand tables for the waiting rooms in all of the clinics and hospital waiting rooms.
