LCMC offers a diabetes educational program convenient and close to home with a referral from your physician. You may be eligible for our extensive program offering both Individual and Group class educational sessions if you have not received any previous formal education on your diabetes.   
 

Self-management education is an essential component of diabetes treatment. Assuring high-quality education for patient self-care is one of the primary goals of the American Diabetes Association Education Recognition program. 

Through the support of the health care team, and increased knowledge and awareness of diabetes, the patient can assume a major part of the responsibility for his/her diabetes management.  Unnecessary hospital admissions and some of the acute and chronic complications of diabetes may be prevented through self-management education.
 

The Diabetes Support Group meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at Lincoln County Medical Center unless otherwise stated.
